Double Take: Recurrent Dialogues in the Art of Herbert Bayer
June 9, 2026–April 3, 2027

This new exhibition at the Resnick 
Center for Herbert Bayer Studies explores how the interdependency of mediums was central to the celebrated Bauhaus artist’s practice. Its 70-plus works span seven decades, from 1920s Germany to 1980s Southern California, and include many rarely seen pieces. thebayercenter.org

Anderson Ranch Arts Center Summer Series
July 9, 14, 23, 27, 2026

Each summer, this nonprofit based in Snowmass hosts conversations with 
major critics, artists, and cultural leaders. The 2026 lineup includes four events featuring names like Lisa Phillips, former director of the New Museum in New York, and Marilyn Minter, Anderson Ranch’s 2026 International Artist honoree. andersonranch.org

AIR
July 27–31, 2026

AIR, Aspen Art Museum’s year-round initiative designed to explore the role of art in addressing the complexities of our time, culminates in a summer summit. The second edition is themed Figures in a Landscape and is followed by a free, public festival featuring site-specific artwork, performances, and insightful dialogues. airaspen.org

Intersect Aspen Art + Design Fair
July 28–August 1, 2026

Hosted at the Aspen Ice Garden, this intimate festival showcases modern and contemporary art and design presented by galleries from around the world, such as London’s Varvara Roza and South Korea’s Lee & Bae. intersectaspen.com

The Aspen Art Fair
July 29–August 1, 2026

Bob Chase of Aspen’s Hexton Gallery co-founded this boutique contemporary art fair in 2024. Staged in the ground-floor rooms of the historic Hotel Jerome, this year’s edition will feature more than 35 international exhibitors and specially curated projects complemented by a program of performances, talks, screenings, and private collection tours. aspenartfair.org

Now in its 21st year, the ArtCrush Gala and Auction is Aspen Art Museum’s largest annual fundraiser, with proceeds supporting educational initiatives as well as groundbreaking exhibitions. A curated selection of works donated by leading artists will be auctioned live at the gala as well as online.
